Christopher Burch’s Gift Buying Guide

Christopher Burch is the founder and CEO of Burch Creative Capital and his career spans for over 40 years. He has been a partner or investor in a variety of different industries over his career. He is partially responsible for the success of many brands across the glove including Voss Water, Jawbone and Fauena Hotel & Universe.

When Burch was still attending Ithaca College, along with his brother, he invested in a clothing company called Eagle’s Eye. He invested two thousand dollars with the company in 1976 and eventually the company grew to be worth 165 million dollars. This small initial investment is how his career began.

Mr. Burch went on to work for The Pierre Hotel and several other companies before founding his own, the previously mentioned Burch Creative Capital, an investment firm.

A man with such a lengthy and prestigious resume must remain busy constantly, but Mr. Burch took some time out of his busy schedule to share with the public some of his favorite gift ideas. Mr. Burch says that when he is shopping for a gift he draws inspiration from all over, but primarily from investments he has made. Burch says that one of the most important things he considers when buying a gift, however, is to make sure it is something that the recipient wouldn’t spend money on for themselves.
